Tamara Remedios, is a Newark resident and mom of two. Tamara is an entrepreneur with a marketing business (Xplore Communications) of 19 years, co-owner of Burger Walla, restaurant on Halsey Street. She is community leader volunteering with Newark library, Halsey Merchants, Tourism, Conservancy, Downtown district and many more. She co-created Newark Mommies a social group of 1500+ Newark moms/parents that leads meet-ups, children’s events and more. She runs NewarkPulse.com, a guide to Newark of positive news and information (online and in-print) and organizes city-wide events like Newark Restaurant Week, Small Business Week and Halsey Festival. She is a mom of two girls now attending Newark schools and active in their schools.
