Arts Ed Newark welcomes new Leadership Council members!

Each year, Arts Ed Newark partners elect new Leadership Council members, to serve 2-year terms. This year, we are excited to welcome (from left to right): Margaret El, former Director of Visual & Performing Arts at Newark Board of  Education; Mary Bey, Board Member, ACCA Creates! and Arts Ambassador graduate; Sam MacDonald, Education Manager at New Jersey Symphony; Andrea David, Newark artist;  and Shikera Usher, Independent nonprofit arts professional in Newark and current Arts Ed Newark Engagement Committee Co-Chair.

We are so excited to welcome these fantastic advocates for arts education in Newark, elected by partners, and know they will help guide the strategic initiatives of AEN. They join a heavy-hitting roster of Leadership Council members who are parents, educators, artists, and advocates committed to making sure all Newark students have access to arts education in and out of school.
